This analyzes It of the Thonet chair model 14, under five distinct optics, that engloba basic concepts of design, ergonomics, history of the art, graphical representation and productive process, allows a new and ample perspective on this icon of design. From these intentions, this research takes as base a bibliographical survey on design, more specifically on the chair Thonet 14 and if structure in seven chapters, all with theoretical recital. The introductory chapter points, through the survey of the problem and the hypotheses, the objectives intended with this research. Backwards still, a historical briefing on the study object. As the chapter searchs in the history of the art, theoretical recital on the relevance of the product chair and its representative paper for the humanity, as well as the graphical representation of this object in the investigated periods. The third chapter directly approaches the functionality of the object as industrial product and design, analyzing its practical, aesthetic and symbolic functions.
In the room chapter, it is presented analysis of the pertinent aspects to the ergonomics physics, justifying the conformity or of the object of study in relation to the item seat and not espaldar. The fifth chapter searchs agreement on the graphical representation of the chair analyzed and its importance in the context of the product since its creation until the current days. In the sixth chapter, one describes the process of modeling and the technique of manufacture of the related chair and I present pass-the-I pass of the confection of a model in scale 1:10 of the chair Thonet 14. Of conclusive form, the seventh chapter presents the final consideraes of this research. 3.CONCLUSES Dieter Rams, to designer of the Braum, comments in 2009 the Objectified set of documents, that good design must obey ten main rules: 1 Good design is innovative. 2 Good design makes the product to be functional.
